Travel info

From the South:

Direct route via Stirling, Perth, Inverness then A82 signposted Fort William to Drumnadrochit.

Scenic route:

Allow extra time. Via Glasgow A82, Loch Lomond, Glencoe, Fort William, Drumnadrochit.

Both routes:

At Drumnadrochit take the A831 Cannich road along Glenurquhart for 4.5 miles, on coming into Balnain you will see a high stone wall on the right hand side, carry on a further 1/4 mile & you will see the track up on the right hand side. (There is also a black metal cut out of a bull, with the word ‘Craggan’  in the field beside the track!) Drive up the hill and Ard Carden is the first on the right.

Arriving by train:

The nearest train station is in Inverness, around 25 miles away. There are daily services from most major cities in the south to Inverness.

The bus station is close to the railway station but we would strongly advise that you hire a car!

By air:

Inverness airport is around an hours drive away. There are daily flights from many international airports & from many regional airports. Again, we suggest you hire a car from Inverness airport or from one of the many car hire companies in Inverness itself. There is a regular bus service from the airport into Inverness city.
